Dialysis Is Not Your Life (DINYL) is a Kidney Disease / End Stage Renal Failure (ESRF) program birthed from the book "Dialysis Is Not Your Life", by Fred Hill.

This program is designed to help educate patients of the 5 stages of ESRF. Also, to help patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) better understand their choices of Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT) and become more comfortable knowing the distinction between hemo-dialysis (HD) and peritoneal dialysis (PD) through personal the experiences of other patients. This will aid them in their choice of which dialysis treatment works best for their lives and ease the fear of going on dialysis.

Everyone knows of someone who is or has been on dialysis and the effect it has or have had on their lives. This program is designed to educate the patient and to help build a community for support in living a quality level of life.

DINYL interacts with doctors, patients, and families to prevent patients from feeling detached from life and keep their dignity as a person and not as an infirm patient identified by their diagnosis.

DINYL provides a community to support, challenge and motivate those affected by kidney disease and those living with ESRF, CKD, and RRT live full lives.
